Although travelling is the primary focus, you can take part in temporary jobs to earn money for your travel expenses. You could say it's a Gap Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"warum-work-amp-travel-und-ausgerechnet-neuseeland\">Why Work &amp; Travel and why New Zealand?<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Going on a Gap Year has always been a desire of mine, but the mandatory military or community service in my country makes it difficult. You have the option of staring into space for either six or nine months. With the second option, you have the opportunity to serve in a foreign country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The situation is as it is. Perhaps one could debate its significance. Thus, I spent 13 months volunteering and playing in the military orchestra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With that out of the way, I can finally start my journey. In my opinion, taking a Gap Year in Europe would be uneventful since I believe I could travel around Europe with ease regardless of age. Since you're only young once, I decided on a short flight to the other end of the world\u2026\nNevertheless, if you still question why New Zealand, let me elaborate further. If you've watched \"The Lord of the Rings\" or \"The Hobbit,\" then you're likely familiar with the breathtaking scenery of New Zealand. Additionally, the climate is quite similar to my home country, the crime rate is minimal, and improving my English is never a bad idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"wie-bekommt-man-ein-visum-nach-neuseeland-insbesondere-das-working-permit\">How to obtain a visa in New Zealand, especially the working permit?<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>To visit New Zealand as a tourist, simply complete the \"Visitor Visa\" form on the immigration <a href=\"https:\/\/www.immigration.govt.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website.<\/a> Once you've completed the application, you will have to wait for confirmation.<br>Like me, if you're interested in working, you must complete the \"Working Holiday Visa\" form. Certain requirements must be met for this visa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Age eligibility is from 18 to 30 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The quantity is limited<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Travelling is the primary focus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You only get it once in your lifetime<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das sind die Grundbedingungen, hinzukommt dann noch eine Auslandskrankenversicherung, Bankauszug der max. 2 Wochen bei Einreise alt ist \u00a0(am besten > 2500\u20ac) und ein Formular wo du deine Identit\u00e4t best\u00e4tigen, deinen Gesundheitszustand, deinen Charakter und deine Intentionen angeben musst. Nat\u00fcrlich ist ein g\u00fcltiger Reisepass notwendig. Au\u00dferdem werden f\u00fcr die Bearbeitung ca. 235\u20ac verlangt (Stand: Mai 2023). Inzwischen ist die Geb\u00fchr weiter angestiegen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obtaining the working permit could take up to 90 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nachdem diese Visum strengst limitiert ist, sollte man sich direkt bei der \u00d6ffnung des Antragszeitraum bewerben, welches normalerweise der erste Donnerstag (ausgenommen 1. Mai) in Mai um 10 Uhr NZST ist. Oder einfacher ausgedr\u00fcckt, am ersten Donnerstag in Mai um 0 Uhr CEST. Ich habe mir f\u00fcr diesen Donnerstag frei genommen, um wirklich einen sauberen Antrag zu stellen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you're lucky like me, you can start your journey with your backpack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"dokumente\">Needed documents<\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Valid Passport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Driving license in combination with the international driving license<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insurance card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bank statement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vaccination certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Credit card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cash to change<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plane tickets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CV<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Voucher for your accommodation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maybe your private tax identification number if you're opening an oversea bank account<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure to have both printed and digital copies of these mandatory documents, otherwise your entry and first week could be tiring. Usually, a layover is required when flying to New Zealand, so be sure to check your stopover location and if a specific entry permit is necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"restliche-packliste-fur-backpacker\">Packing list for Backpackers<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>If you're a backpacker, try to make your travels as light and comfortable as possible. Your mode of transportation within your destination is up to you. Whether by car, public transport or by foot, a well-packed backpack is crucial. So, remember: less is more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Clothes for a week (there're enough laundry opportunities)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 pair of trekking\/hiking boots<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 pair of casual shoes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 pair flip-flops\/sandals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 to 2 long + short trousers and sweater\/hoodie<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maybe 1 set of work clothes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 outfit for job interviews<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sweatpants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 jacket<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 rain jacket<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maybe sports gear<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cloth for head\/neck<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Swimming gear<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sun protection (sun lotion, sunglasses, cap\/hat)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wash and care products (don't forget a line to hang up wet clothes)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electronic devices (don't forget the universal adapter and a distributor)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no liability associated with the above statements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you forget something, don't stress as there are plenty of chances to purchase what you need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There's nothing more I can add to that.
