Only this time there will certainly be no snow and punch stalls are non-existent. Although it will be quite different, let's proceed with the weekly review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"simpletoc-title\">Table of Contents<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"simpletoc-list\">\n<li><a href=\"#allgemein\">General<\/a>\n\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#christmas-in-the-park\">Christmas in the Park<\/a>\n\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#wie-wird-die-adventszeit\">What will the Advent season be like?<\/a>\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"allgemein\">General<\/h2>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The work has been incredibly monotonous - I've been stuck in the same place for an entire week, pulling what feels like 50 kg of weeds. And we're only halfway done! I'll check if it's possible to be moved to another role where I can apply my knowledge more effectively. We'll see if this request gets fulfilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyway, I stumbled upon an orchestra you can always be a part of, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gardencityorchestra.org.nz\/\">Garden City Orchestra.<\/a> Hopefully, they will continue with rehearsals after the last concert on December 2nd. I've sent the request and there's a possibility of being invited to the last rehearsal. Moreover, an audition for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cyo.org.nz\/\">Christchurch Youth Orchestra<\/a>, is held until December 10th. Literature is not too challenging, I just have to find a room with good acoustics to record the unique sound of the Viennese Horn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"christmas-in-the-park\">Christmas in the Park<\/h2>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coke.co.nz\/christmas-in-the-park\">Coca Cola Christmas in the Park<\/a> took place on November 25th. A free festival organized by Coca Cola. I don't think I've ever heard Silent Night in November until now. In a nutshell, it's a relatively pleasant event with complimentary Coke Zero and food prices that are comparable to other festivals. It's primarily created for families with young kids. At home, we would say it was a children's birthday. The majority of the songs were Christmas tunes, with pop hits taking over in the second half and Sweet Child O' Mine closing the show. That's definitely not going to happen in New Zealand. But the city centre should be already covered in Christmas decorations. I'll have a look in the city center and see if there are any alternatives to punch stands. Where I live, the days are light for a long time and it will probably be around 30\u00b0 at Christmas. This time, I'll be having a traditional BBQ instead of fish or a cold platter.
